The Austria Futures Cup was my 7th international of the year in 2019, for this competition I was competing for Leeds Gymnastics Club against national and other club teams from Russia, Canada, Italy, Australia, Austria, Germany. Linz a great city and the Tips Arena an excellent venue. I used this competition to try out new skills I had been working on. I did some solid routines including a 13.750 on floor which got me 1st position on that apparatus. I scored 74.750 All round putting me in 4th. In the team competition we came a fantastic bronze behind Canada and Russia which as a club team rather than a national team it provided greats kudos to Leeds. The competitors stayed together in a local hostel, so it’s always good catching up with the other nations and our friends from Australia.

2019 started off quickly with an England call up for the Ruby and Harold Cup in Oslo, Norway and an honour to Captain the team.
I had a good competition and made 5 individual finals, a fall on the parallel bars was frustrating as had worked hard on this piece and not only cost me the All round title but a 6th final. I did win silver AA and we won team silver, so a successful trip with some lesson learnt.
