In March of 2022, I was selected to represent Great Britain in my second World Cup competition, this time in Doha, Qatar. A solid floor routine in qualification placed me in 2nd behind current Olympic champion Israel's Artem Dolgopyat.
In the final a hand down on my first tumble cost me, but a solid base and looking forward to the future with more valuable experience at senior world level.
This was my first Senior English Championships, so my first aim was to go clean on each of the 6 pieces. I felt like I did myself justice with the top gymnasts in England and the result was I was crowned English Floor champion with a solid routine with a 6.0 difficulty scoring 14.200.
I was rewarded with an All Round bronze medal scoring 81.350, Joe Fraser picked up Gold and James Hall, Silver.
On Vault I averaged 14.175 and won bronze. I secured 5th Pommel, 7th Rings, 4th P-bars and 5th H-bar.
British Championships 2022
On the 26th-27th of March I competed at the British Gymnastics Championships at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena. I made 4 individual finals including Floor, Pommel, Rings and Vault. The All-Around competition didn't go to plan with a disappointing fall on H-bar and uncharacteristic mistakes on P-bar. I finished in 12th AA.
In the finals I secured a bronze on floor. Great to be with Giarnni Regini-Moran and Jake Jarman on the podium.
